What is the price of good hair day? Do we really know the true cost? Is our money supporting a business that cares about people and the planet? Clever marketing and industry jargon often makes us feel mislead. We all want to use products that work without it weighing heavy on our conscience.
Used by professional stylists all over the world since 1994, Davines products speak for themselves. What sets Davines apart is their support for social and environmental projects. Passionate about ethics and sustainability, there’s so much more to this brand than shampoo!
Davines has worked with the Slow Food Foundation for Biodiversity since 2014; a scheme which aims to protect traditional farming practices, revive historical professions and promote specific territories. The natural, ethically sourced ingredients used in all of their formulas promote healthy hair and help local growers in Italy. Extracts from almonds, buckwheat, caper blossom, lentil seeds, olives, tomatoes, turnip root and yellow melon can be traced from the manufacturing facility back to the farmer.
Once each formula is perfected, it is packaged at their carbon neutral site in Parma using materials which are 100% compensated. There is no animal testing involved. Davines pledge to never take the path of testing on animals and are working hard to achieve Leaping Bunny certification on all of their products.
Since it was founded in 1983, Davines has created a presence in more than 90 countries with a multicultural team. Now a registered B Corporation, the company aims to become a positive force capable of generating profit whilst showing compassion for the earth and life upon it.
