Why we love dermalogica
For over 25 years, Dermalogica have been dedicated to delivering skin health results through education, innovation, and professional recommendation. The story begins in 1986, when Jane Wurwand, a trained skin therapist, recognised a lack of skin and body therapy education throughout the United States. Believing that many US students entered the skincare industry licensed but under-trained, Wurwand opened a class in Marina del Ray under the name The International Dermal Institute (IDI), inviting skin therapists to develop their skills and knowledge. Today, IDI is a renowned international standard for postgraduate skin and body therapy training, with 37 locations worldwide. Wurwand’s work at IDI quickly crystallised the view that there was no product line on the market that promoted true skin health over “beauty” – in setting out to develop her own, Dermalogica was born. The vision was a line free of common irritants and ingredients that would cause skin breakouts; that would improve overall skin health; and that were only available from qualified skin therapy professionals. All Dermalogica products are manufactured in the USA, and have never utilised animal testing.

£39.00
dermalogica's #1 selling cleanser
Clears spots & breakouts
Hydrates

Dermalogica’s #1 selling cleanser, globally. Soap-free, foaming gel cleanses all skin conditions. Refreshing lather thoroughly removes impurities, without disturbing the skin’s natural moisture balance. This iconic cleanser, which contains naturally-foaming Quillaja Saponaria, gently rinses away toxins and debris to leave skin feeling smooth and clean. Lightweight and mild enough to use every day, it also features calming Balm Mint and Lavender extracts to soothe the skin.
Benefits:
Washes away impurities without stripping or drying
Calming agents help soothe and purify skin
Thoroughly removes impurities, without disturbing the skin’s natural moisture balance
How to use:
Complete your first cleanse with a precleansing formula to lift makeup, excess oil, and pollutants from the skin.
Dispense a blueberry sized amount of cleansing gel into damp hands and add water to create a foam. Rub palms together to lather the gel until it’s light and bubbly. It shouldn’t feel sticky or tacky – add more water if it does.
Massage into skin with small circular movements for one minute. Focus on areas of congestion and don’t forget your hairline, neck, and chest.
Rinse thoroughly with warm water or use a soft face cloth to remove.
Pro tip: To avoid sensitising skin during cleaning, ensure the water is tepid, not too hot, or too cold. And keep your pressure light to medium to avoid over stimulating the skin.
